Easter Eggs in the Lord of the Rings movies

  • Fellowship of the Ring
    • Disc 1: The easter egg is an alternative Council of Elrond made by MTV. You can find it by going to Select a Scene, go to the scenes 25-28, and highlight scene 27, then click the down button on your DVD remote, and you will see the One Ring appear next to the words "New Scene". Then click enter, and it will play the easter egg.
    • Disc 2: It's the preview of The Two Towers that appeared at the end of The Fellowship of the Ring near the end of its theatrical release. You can find it by going to Select a Scene, bringing scene 48 up, then going back and highlighting number 48 in the scene numbers; after that, click the down button on your DVD remote. An image of the two towers will appear. Click enter and it will play the easter egg.
  • Two Towers
    • Disc 1: The easter egg is Andy Serkis receiving the best virtual performance award given to him by MTV, with a slight twist. You can find it by going to Select a Scene, go to the scenes 29-30, and highlight scene 30, then click the down button on your DVD remote, and you will see the One Ring appear next to the words "New Scene". Then click enter, and it will play the easter egg.
    • Disc 2: There is no easter egg on this disc.
  • Return of the King
    • Disc 1: The easter egg is Dominic Monaghan disguised as a German interviewer interviewing Elijah Wood. You can find it by going to Select a Scene, go to the scenes 33-36, and select scene 36, then click the down button on your DVD remote, and you will see the One Ring appear next to the words "New Scene". Then click enter, and it will play the easter egg.
    • Disc 2: You can find it by going to the main menu, going to select a scene, then going to scenes 77-78, highlighting scene 78, then click the down button on your DVD remote, and you will see the One Ring appear next to the words "New Scene". Then click enter, and it will play the easter egg. The easter egg is Ben Stiller and Vince Vaughn asking Peter Jackson about making another Lord of the Rings movie even though the trilogy was over.
