Eärnil I (TA 736 - TA 936, r. TA 913 - TA 936) was the thirteenth King of Gondor and the second Ship-king.
Biography

Eärnil was born in the year TA 736 and succeeded his illustrious uncle Tarannon Falastur who died childless in TA 913. He was the son of Tarannon's brother Tarciryan.
He continued with the expansionist maritime policy of his predecessor and captured Umbar in TA 933.
He was tragically lost at sea near Umbar in TA 936 and was succeeded by his son Ciryandil.
