Dor Daidelos

Dor Daidelos also known as Region of Everlasting Cold was a cold, vast and barren wasteland north of Ered Engrin in the First Age.
It was created shortly after Melkor's retreat after the First War before the Spring of Arda.

Nearly half of this land was destroyed after Melkor's final defeat in the War of Wrath, the part that remained became known as the Northern Waste. A tribe of men known as the Forodwaith who learned to adapt to these frozen conditions lived here.
