Dor Dínen was a deserted part of East Beleriand, north of Doriath.
Contained by one of the upper branches of the Esgalduin (bordering Nan Dungortheb) and the Aros (bordering Himlad), it was said that no one had lived there for ages. To the south lay Neldoreth, and Ered Gorgoroth to the north. The region was best known for the Arossiach, which connected the Esgalduin and Aros.
Etymology[]
Dor Dínen was Sindarin for 'Silent land'[1]
