Dallas Barnett (born February 29, 1964) is an Auckland, New Zealand-based American actor who played Bill Ferny Sr. in The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug.


Dallas was Born in Rochester, New York, USA, but spent most of his life in Dayton, Ohio. He is an actor, Voiceover artist, Narrator and producer, known for Cirque du Soleil: Worlds Away (2012), Romeo and Juliet: A Love Song ( 2013)Contract Killers (2014) and Power Rangers DinoThunder (2004). Dallas has appeared on  Spartacus: Vengance  and in several action features.

Dallas started his career in the entertainment field working in nightclubs and local radio stations as a DJ, including the now-defunct 102.9 WING FM in Dayton Ohio.

Dallas is missing his right eye, but is cagey as to how it happened, and has never publicly given a straight answer to the question.

Dallas gets a mention in The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug Extended Edition Extras in the Behind the Scenes documentary about Bree.
