Portrayal in adaptationsEdit
Peter Jackson's The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five ArmiesEdit
When Dáin arrives at the Lonely Mountain for battle, it accompanied its master throughout the ordeal at the Gates of Erebor. It is later seen assisting Dáin when the war broke out. It is killed when an Orcish spear pierces its heart, as his master was dueling two other Orcs. Dáin can then only continue the battle on foot. Later, Dáin uses his war hammer to smash the Orc who killed his boar, as a revenge.
