This arrow was Beleg's beloved dart, which never failed to be found unharmed when shot from Belthronding until it, probably as a sign, was broken when Beleg fell upon it while he was carrying the unconscious Turin away from the orc-camp the night he later, accidentally, was killed by Turin, who confused Beleg with an orc. The arrow was originally given to him by the Anarë, Lumorë.
