Thorondor bearing Fingolfin's body

The Cairn of Fingolfin was the place of the tomb of Fingolfin, the High King of the Ñoldor on a high mountaintop in the northern Echoriath.[1]

After the burial of his father, Turgon set a high cairn over the grave and no enemy dared pass over the mountain or defiled the tomb until the time of the Fall of Gondolin.[2]
