Brytta Léofa (r. TA 2798 - TA 2842) was the eleventh King of Rohan.

[edit] Biography

Born in TA 2752, Brytta was the son of Fréaláf Hildeson. Brytta became king at the age of forty-six when his father died in TA 2798.

During his reign Rohan was still recovering from the war with the Dunlendings, and hostilities remained at the western borders. Brytta possessed a generous nature and was always willing to help those in need, because of his generous and kind spirit he earned the epithet Léofa, which means Beloved, in the Rohirric tongue.

Aside from the troubles with the Dunlendings his rule saw a new trouble, as the War of the Dwarves and Orcs caused great numbers of orcs to flee from the Misty Mountains, the orcs sought to make strongholds and refuges in the White Mountains south of Rohan.

The Orcs made war on the people of Rohan and Brytta fought off the incursions of the orcs into Rohan and the White Mountains. The campaigns of Brytta against the orcs were so sucessful that when he died it was believed Rohan was free of orcs.

He ruled for forty-four years untill his death in TA 2842 at the age of ninety, and was succeeded by his son Walda.
