Bruce Spence is a New Zealand actor, who played the role of the Mouth of Sauron in Peter Jackson's The Lord of the Rings film trilogy. His character's scene is included only in the Extended Edition of The Return of the King (2003).

Biography[]

Spence was born in 1945 in Auckland, New Zealand. He is known for his appearances as Zeddicus Zu'l Zorander (Zedd) in the television series Legend of the Seeker, Tion Medon in Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, the Trainman in The Matrix Revolutions, autogyro pilot and "partner" in The Road Warrior and the voice of Chum in Finding Nemo. Another of Bruce's main film roles is his representation of Baxter in Inspector Gadget 2. He has appeared in many other films and television series as well. Spence also portrayed Lord Rhoop in The Chronicles of Narnia: Voyage of the Dawn Treader (2010).
