Real-world

The Brobdingnagian Bards were a Celtic music group from Austin, Texas.

They were formed in 1999 by Marc Gunn and Andrew McKee who remained its only members until their break up on September 15, 2008.

They headlined at the Oscar party of The Return of the King (film) and performed in the Night at the Prancing Pony event at DragonCon 2007, as well as A Long Expected Party 2008.

Their name derived from the kingdom of coarse giants in Gulliver's Travels.
