Brandy Hall

From the One Wiki to Rule Them All, the Lord of the Rings Encyclopedia.

Brandy Hall, a hall in Buckland, was built by Gorhendad Oldbuck, who changed his name to Brandybuck. It covered a low hill in Buckland and was expanded as the Brandybuck family grew. By the time of the War of the Ring, it had "three large front-doors, many side-doors, and about a hundred windows." The Gaffer referred to it as "a regular warren." It was Frodo's childhood home before he was taken in by his cousin Bilbo Baggins. The head of the family was called the Master of the Hall, and his authority was acknowledged between the villages of Stock and Rushey.
