Bell Gamgee, born Bell Goodchild was a Hobbit of the Shire.

HistoryEdit

Bell was born around TA 2926 (SR 1326). She was the wife of Hamfast and mother of Hamson, Halfred, Daisy, May, Samwise, and Marigold Cotton. Bell Gamgee was the mother of Samwise Gamgee, one of the most famous of hobbit kind who helped Frodo on his journey to Mount Doom. She was also the wife of the old gaffer mentioned many times by Samwise in the story.

Portrayal in adaptationsEdit

Bell Goodchild appeared in the 2003 video game The Hobbit as a child playing hide-and-seek in the Old Mill with other hobbits.
