Belegorn (r. TA 2148 - TA 2204) was the fourth Ruling Steward of Gondor during the Third Age in Middle-earth.

Biography

Born in TA 2074, Belegorn was the son of Herion.
Following the death of his father, Herion, in TA 2148 Belegorn became the fourth Ruling Steward of Gondor, and the fourth steward to rule during the era known as the Watchful Peace.
Belegorn ruled Gondor until his death in the year TA 2204 at the age of 130 years old. He was succeeded by his son Húrin I.
Etymology

Belegorn is a Sindarin word which means 'Mighty Tree' with Bele meaning Mighty, and orn meaning Tree.
