The Battle of Cirith Ungol was a vague fight between the Orc company of Gorbag from Minas Morgul and the Black Uruks of Shagrat stationed at Cirith Ungol over Frodo's mithril vest.
History
The commanders of the two sides were Shagrat and Gorbag. The fight allowed Sam to sneak into the tower and find Frodo and rescue him. Every soldier stationed at the tower was killed except Shagrat and a few other Black Uruks, who were later killed by Sam, he also killed Gorbag himself, Shagrat managed to get away with the mithril coat.
