Baranor was a Man of Gondor. Some time during his life he married and had a son: Beregrond. It is unknown if he had other children

BiographyEdit

Baranor was the father of Beregond, a Captain of Gondor. He must have lived in Ithilien and the vales of the White Mountains.[1]

EtymologyEdit

Baranor may mean "Fierce Fire" from bara ("fierce") and naur ("fire").[2]
