Bar Erib was a fortress stronghold in the land of Dor-Cúarthol in the West Beleriand.

According to The Atlas of Middle-earth, Bar Erib stood just outside the Andram east of the Falls of Sirion about fifty miles south of Amon Rûdh.[1]

Bar Erib was one of the places defended by Beleg Cúthalion, Túrin Turambar, and his band of outlaws for the time that their alliance lasted.[2][3]

Bar Erib is Sindarin for 'Dwelling of the Lonely Ones'.[3]
