Araglas (TA 2296 - TA 2455)[1] was the sixth of the Chieftains of the Dúnedain.

[edit] History

Like his forefathers, he was raised by Elrond in Rivendell while his father Aragorn I dwelt in the wild.

Aragorn was killed by a pack of wild wolves in TA 2327, and Araglas became the Chieftain of the Dúnedain while still very young by the reckoning of his people.

He died in TA 2455[1] after 128 years as chieftain and was followed by his son Arahad I.

[edit] Behind the Scenes

Arallas was a former name until it was corrected on a later page of J.R.R. Tolkien's manuscript on the subject.[2]
