Annette Crosbie (b. February 12, 1934, Gorebridge, Midlothian, Scotland, UK) is a Scottish character actress.

She was the voice of Galadriel in Ralph Bakshi's version of The Lord of the Rings.

Biography and CareerEdit

Annette Crosbie was best known playing the wife of Victor Meldrew in the sitcom One Foot in the Grave.

Annette Crosbie also played Catherine of Aragon in the BBC's The Six Wives of Henry VIII, Janet MacPherson in Dr. Finlay, Dorothy Simcox in Paradise Postponed, Sadie Cairncross in Hope Springs, Flora's Aunt in Little Dorrit, and Queen Victoria in Edward the Seventh. She also played Mrs. Angelo in The Eleventh Hour the popular science fiction show Doctor Who.

She is president of the League Against Cruel Sports.

She is a OBE and the winner of the 1971 British Academy Television Award for Best Actress.

She has two children Owen Griffiths and Selina Griffiths to Michael Griffiths.
