Anendel was a Silvan Elf who served as a guardian of Lothlórien during the Third Age of Middle-earth.

Anendel, during the Battle of Helm's Deep

During the War of the Ring, Anendel accompanied Haldir and a large group of Galadhrim warriors to aid King Theoden and his people to reinforce the defence of Helm's Deep from Saruman's army. Stationed on the Deeping Wall, Anendel loaded his bow and fired, demonstrating his unmatched proficiency of archery, as he and many elves loosened devastating hails of arrows in seconds, killing many Uruk-hai that were charging towards the fortress. Since many elves were killed during this stage of the battle as the pressure increased, Anendel may have survived the battle along with a few elves. It is unknown of he sailed west to the Undying Lands in the West or stayed in Middle-earth during the early years of the Fourth Age. His fate is not known.
