Aidan Turner (born 19 June 1983) is an Irish actor. He is best known for playing Dante Gabriel Rossetti on Desperate Romantics, Ruairí McGowan on The Clinic, and John Mitchell on the supernatural drama series Being Human. He will be playing Kíli in the upcoming three-part fantasy film The Hobbit.

Mr. Turner starred in two Irish feature films, Alarm and Porcelain, and co-starred in season 6 of the long running series The Clinic before moving to London. He followed that compelling performance with the role of Rossetti in BBC's Desperate Romantics. Aidan then appeared in the critically acclaim TV movie, Hattie. The Hobbit filmed for 14 months in New Zealand, wrapping in July. The first of the 3 movies is due to release worldwide December 12-14, 2012. Mr. Turner's next project is The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones in which he will star as Luke Garroway. Director Harald Zwart asked Aidan to read after seeing him in The Hobbit footage shown at Comic-Con. Aidan was signed immediately and starts filming August 20th. MI:City of Bones is due in theatres August 23, 2013.
